Dear Holy Spirit

Dear Holy Spirit,

Thank you!!! Thank you for always being there for me. I always knew you there by the way, and I am sorry that I never listened to you back then. I am so grateful that you did not give up on me. You never told God “ I can’t help this girl anymore.” I was not an easy girl to save. I was stubborn, and I still can be. You are the only person who can check me with that. You are the only person who can check me period. You do it in a nice way and I love that about you. You are so gentle, and I appreciate that. Without you I don’t know where I would be. You have saved me from a lifetime of mistakes, and heartbreaks. You have calmed me down when I am frantic. You have whispered sweet words when I became doubtful. You have directed me into the direction I am supposed to go. But, what I love most about you is how you encourage me with words of truth. The truth that comes from our Savior. Having you dwell inside of me is the best gift I could ask for. I truly believe people forget about you, and all the wonderful things you do. I wanted to write this letter to let you know I will never forget you. I will never want to be without you. I adore you, and I need you every day. Keep leading me and guiding me, but most of all keep loving me!

Your shining light

John 14:15-22
Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[a] in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
